WUSC Fundraising Gala

  • The Guild 1250 Wharf Street Victoria, BC, V8W 1T8 Canada (map)

WUSC – World University Service of Canada – is a leading Canadian non-profit organization in international development, committed to building a more equitable and sustainable world. We work with a unique and powerful network of post-secondary institutions, private-sector partners and volunteers to provide education, employment and empowerment opportunities that improve the lives of millions of disadvantaged youth around the world.

For over 30 years, WUSC has been working to increase the availability of quality primary, secondary and post-secondary education in refugee camps in order to decrease the gender gap in education between refugee boys and girls. Through WUSC’s Shine a Light campaign, we have been providing refugee girls with solar lamps and after-school programs in a safe learning environment so that they may complete their studies.

Proceeds from the event go towards WUSC's Shine-A-Light campaign, which provides refugee girls with solar lamps and after-school programs in a safe learning environment so that they may complete their studies

Tickets are $50 which includes a three course meal and entertainment. We have a variety of guest speakers including students who have benefitted from WUSC's Student Refugee Program.

The event involves a silent auction with a lot of great prizes! You can buy tickets through Eventbrite or through one of our committee members; you can contact us through email or 250-634-1133.
